CapStream surety specialist Michael White attended a DC-area gathering at construction firm MCN Build arranged by the Metro DC Hispanic Contractors Association.

The focus of the gathering was to help minority contractors understand and access the proliferating opportunities in school construction and maintenance.

Of immediate interest was the construction of eight elementary schools in Prince George’s County Maryland under the leadership of Prince George’s County Education and Community Partners (PGCECP), a public-private partnership.

The project has comprehensive procurement needs and there are abundant set-asides for minority contractors.  Click here to pre-qualify for the Prince George’s County school construction program.

CapStream’s Michael White said the meeting was well attended.  “It was literally standing room only for some of the breakout sessions,” he said.  “But for hungry contractors, there’s still plenty of room at the table.”
